Texture gives damp somewhere sheltered to sit. On this side of the county a textured wall stays wet for hours longer than a smooth one after the same shower, and growth needs nothing else. It is entirely treatable. It simply needs the solution given longer to reach into the texture, and it comes round again sooner.
A surface built to move water off itself gives growth far less to work with, even under Blackstairs rainfall. These walls take a gentler, shorter treatment and then hold their finish for noticeably longer. The trade is that they mark if anyone treats them roughly, which is exactly why we do not.
We mix it, time it and pace the whole job around what your wall is finished in.
A photograph tells us the substrate. On exposed ground we also look at which elevations take the weather, because that changes what we would recommend doing first.
Dilution and dwell matched to the finish. If the wind is up on this side of the county we come back another day rather than let anything drift where it is not wanted.

It should not. The treatment works on what is growing on the render rather than on the render itself, at neutral pH and without bleach. Coloured and through-coloured finishes come through it unchanged.
It does. The treatment wants dry hours behind it to work properly, and heavy rain within a few hours of application works against it. We move a date rather than apply something that washes off by evening, and people are generally glad of the call.
Two reasons, and both are about outcomes. It does not reach the organism, so the growth comes back; and modern renders have a surface layer that force can mark permanently. A treatment solves the first problem without creating the second.
