What paving actually comes to depends on the surface — block, concrete, flagstone or natural stone — how much area is involved and how deep the growth has gone into it. Length is what drives the price of a driveway. One photograph down the run of it is usually all we need to turn these into a real number.

Force lifts the visible film off the top of the paving and the surface comes up well. What it cannot reach is what has worked down into the joints, the pores of the concrete and the texture of the flag. On a shaded path that is the majority of it, and it is back by the following autumn.
The solution soaks into the paving, into the joints and into the pores, and kills what is living there rather than sweeping it off. The surface comes back over the following days, and there is nothing left down in the texture waiting for the next wet spell.

To a degree, yes. Force breaks the colony into fine particles and drives them onto whatever is nearby — the next wall, the paving, the boundary. The growth on the elevation you cleaned is gone; a share of it has simply been relocated. A treatment avoids that entirely, because nothing is being blasted anywhere.
Only off the ground directly beneath the wall, and only for the period we tell you about before we leave. The rest of the garden carries on as normal.
You will. Loose growth and surface grime go while we are there, and the deeper staining lifts over the following days as what is living in it dies back. By the end of the week you are generally looking at the finished result.
