Square metres first, then how steep and how broken up the roofline is, then whether it is concrete, clay or slate. A simple roof of a given size prices below a complicated one of the same size.
How long it has been left
Catch it early and moss takes a treatment and a rinse. Leave it a few years and it has to come off by hand before treating even starts. That difference is worth a few hundred euro on a typical house.

Most houses, no — the great majority of roofs we treat are reached from the ground. Where a roofline genuinely cannot be worked safely from below, we say so at the quote stage and price it openly, so you know what that access costs before we start.
My roof is only a few years old — is it too soon?
Very possibly, and we will tell you if so. A young roof with a light film on the shaded side often has years left before it needs anything. Send a photo and you may well get told to leave it, which costs you nothing to find out.
