There is often nowhere safe to foot a ladder

A breeze that feels pleasant at ground level is a different animal at first-floor height on an exposed corner. Big seaward panes want volume, not scrubbing
The wide windows facing the water are too large to wipe dry, and trying leaves streaks straight across the middle of your view. We flood them instead, working top to bottom, and let purified water carry the salt haze off. Nothing touches the pane afterwards, so nothing marks it. The bigger the sheet of glass, the more that matters. A metre of streak across a picture window is the first thing anyone sitting in that room sees.
Around Grange Road and Mauritiustown Road we meet dormers, sun rooms and first-floor balconies. Further along Coast Road the houses sit lower, with long windows instead of tall ones. We bring the reach for either. Describe the house when you get in touch, and the right length of pole travels with us on the day. A photograph of the awkward elevation helps more than any description, if you have one on the phone. It tells us in a second what gear to load, and it saves you the conversation entirely.

How much is it?
Signature Round pricing opens from €25 on a smaller house. Where there is more glass, a conservatory or high-reach work, we price it on your own property and hand you the number well ahead of the day.
Do you need to get into the back garden?
We do, since half your glass is back there. A side gate left on the latch is all we ask. If you are out that day the job still goes ahead, and if there is a dog or a locked gate, mention it at the enquiry stage and we will sort that out with you well beforehand.
Will water get in around the upstairs windows?
The pole delivers a controlled flow rather than a jet, and we work down the pane instead of pushing water into the top of the frame. On an older window with a tired seal we ease right off and mention what we noticed, so you can keep an eye on it yourself. Salt air is hard on hardware here, and a hinge or a friction stay going stiff is usually the earliest warning you get of a seal starting to give.
What happens if the weather turns on my day?
Rain is not a problem for us. Purified water dries clear whether it is sunny or drizzling, so we work through most of what the coast throws at us. If a real gale makes pole work unwise we will ring you and move you to the next run, and you keep your place in the round.
