Pure Water Window Cleaning in Castlebridge, Co. Wexford

Most people ring us about the glass. What we clean is the whole window: frame, sill, bead and drainage slots included, because on a Castlebridge house that is where the damp air off the harbour side does its quiet work on you.

Why the frame matters as much as the pane in Castlebridge

Clean glass in a dirty frame looks wrong, and it does not stay clean for long either. Here is what we keep finding on frames around the village, and what we do about each of them.

Damp air sits in the bead

Where the Slaney meets the harbour side, the air stays wet long after the rain stops. That moisture lodges in the rubber bead around your pane and along the bottom rail, and a black speckle grows there before it shows anywhere else. We brush that line on every visit and rinse it out properly.

Drainage slots block up quietly

The little slots at the base of a uPVC frame are there to let rainwater out. Silt, pollen and cobweb fill them without you ever seeing it happen, and then water sits on your sill instead of running away. We clear them as part of the clean, so your window drains the way it was built to.

Painted timber and modern uPVC want different handling

The older houses in the village core carry painted timber sashes. The newer ones a road away are uPVC throughout. We ease off the pressure on tired paintwork and give the plastic a firmer working over. Tell us which you have when you book, or leave us to judge it on the day.

Castlebridge runs from its old core out to newer houses along the roads towards Curracloe and Wexford Town, and the window styles change as you go. What does not change is the damp air off the water and what it does to your frames. We bring the same care to both ends of the village, and you get the whole opening left clean.

How a Castlebridge clean actually runs

Start to finish, in four.

1

The water is prepared

Minerals are filtered out before the pole is even lifted.

2

Worked, corner to corner

The brush moves the film off the pane and out of the frame edges.

3

Up from the ground

Rinse water travels the pole, so the upper glass is done without ladders.

4

Nothing left behind

With no detergent and no minerals, the pane dries clear by itself.

While we are at the house

The other three jobs, on the one visit.

Softwashing

Render, plinths and boundary walls carrying the same growth
Softwashing

Gutter cleaning

Cleared out, outlets tested, nothing left on the grass

Roof cleaning

The roof looked over, then moss and lichen treated

Castlebridge window cleaning: your questions

Do you charge extra for cleaning the frames?

The frames and sills are part of the clean, not an addition to it. We do not think a window is finished with grime still sitting in the bead, so it is in the job rather than on the bill. You get the whole opening done for the price you were quoted.

How much does it cost?

The Signature Round starts from €25 for a smaller Castlebridge home. Larger houses, conservatories and awkward access get their own quote, and we give you that figure before you commit to anything.

Will the brush mark my painted timber frames?

The filaments are soft and the water does most of the work, so sound paintwork comes to no harm. Where paint is already flaking we work lighter around it and mention it to you afterwards, because you would rather hear that from us than find it yourself later.

There is black mould along the bottom of my window. Will it shift?

Much of it will, since a lot of what looks like mould is surface growth in the damp line and it lifts with brushing and rinsing. Where it has got into old sealant we will tell you straight. If the render around it has gone the same way, ask us about a softwash while we are with you.

How do I book you?

Book online at eireshine.ie/schedule-window-clean, or message us your Eircode with a photo of the front of the house. Either way we come back to you with a day and a price you can rely on.
