Pure Water Window Cleaning in Ballyhogue, Co. Wexford

A window is more than its pane. On the farmhouses and one-off homes around Ballyhogue, the sills, the frame corners and the drainage slots hold the season's dirt long after the glass has been rained on, and we clean all of it for you rather than skimming the pane and calling it done.

Where Ballyhogue dirt actually settles

Rain washes a vertical pane after a fashion, and that much you get for free. What it never reaches is the flat top of a sill, the corner where the frame meets the reveal, or the groove under the opening light. That is where a window quietly goes off.

Sills that stay wet

With the Slaney close by, the ground here holds damp and so does everything standing on it. A south-facing sill dries by afternoon; the ones on the sheltered side of your house stay wet for days and grow a green bloom along the front edge. We take that off with clean water and a soft brush, and nothing runs off carrying detergent onto your render or the beds below.

Silage dust in the frame corners

Cutting season puts a fine, slightly greasy dust into the air, and it lands wherever the wind drops it. Look into the corners of your frames after a busy fortnight and you will find it packed into the joint. We work the brush into those corners rather than over them, so the pane is not only clean but stays clean when the next shower runs down it.

Blocked drainage and tired seals

Every modern frame has small slots along the bottom to let water out. Pollen and dust block them, water backs up against the seal, and the frame sits wet. We clear those as we go, and we will give you a word if a seal has gone hard or a bead has lifted, so you can decide what to do in your own time. It is the openings you never open that suffer, oddly enough. A window worked every week keeps its own slots clear; a spare bedroom left shut all winter does not, and that is where we usually find the trouble.

Farmhouses around Ballyhogue often carry big openings in thick walls, with deep stone or concrete sills that show every mark. We have cleaned enough of them along the Slaney Valley to know the glass is rarely the real problem. Do the frame properly and the whole opening looks new again, and it holds that look for you well into the wet months.

How we clean windows in Ballyhogue

Four steps, and the order matters.

1

Everything taken out of the water

Filters and resin strip the minerals, which is why the glass can be left wet.

2

The film is lifted

A soft head runs over the pane and along the beading until the film gives way.

3

Rinsed where you stand

The same pole carries the rinse up, so upper glass needs no ladder.

4

It dries on its own

Nothing is left on the pane to mark it, so drying finishes the job.

The rest of the outside

Areas we cover near Ballyhogue and across County Wexford

Ballyhogue sits on our regular loop south of Enniscorthy, and we take the small roads as well as the main ones.

Around Ballyhogue we work the village first, then the townlands ringing it, and a house up a lane is no obstacle. Bree comes on the same trip, with Oilgate after it, and homes along the Slaney between the two usually fall on that day too. Give us the address and we will place it on the route.

Beyond that we reach Enniscorthy, then Wexford Town, then Ballymurn, with Barntown out on the western side of the run. Distance rarely rules a house out around here. Unsure about yours? Ask, and you will get a straight answer about whether we can fit you in.

Questions we get asked in Ballyhogue

Does the price cover frames and sills, or is that extra?

It is included. Frames, sills and the visible seals are part of an exterior clean with us, never an upgrade. We would rather do the whole opening once than leave you looking at a clean pane sitting on a dirty ledge.

What will it come to at my house?

Signature Round pricing opens from €25 and rises with how many openings there are and how awkward they sit. A farmhouse carrying twenty of them lands above a small bungalow, plainly enough, and the figure for your own place is agreed with you before we lift a brush.

Can you get the green growth off my sills?

In most cases, yes, with clean water and a soft brush. Deep growth in porous concrete can take more than one visit to lift fully, and we will say so rather than pretend otherwise. Either way, you should see a clear improvement on the first clean.

Will water get into the house through the frames?

It should not. We work from outside with controlled flow and rinse downwards, and we ease off around any frame that already looks tired. If we spot a seal letting water past, we will stop and show you before we carry on.

Do you work around dogs, gates and farm traffic?

We do, all the time. Tell us where the dog is and which gate to use, and we will fit ourselves around whatever else is going on about the place that day.
