Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 6, 2025

1. Scope of Service

ÉireShine provides exterior window cleaning using pure water technology and a soft-bristled brush system. While we take every care, certain deposits (e.g. paint splashes, adhesives, or mineral stains) may not be removed by this method.

2. Customer Responsibilities

By booking or paying for our service (online or in person), you confirm that:

3. Liability Disclaimer

ÉireShine takes pride in providing a safe and careful service. However, we accept no liability for:

Normal water runoff is expected during cleaning. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all surfaces are safe and to monitor conditions post-service.

4. Payments & Acceptance of Terms

Payment for services, whether online or in person (including cash payments), constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all customers regardless of booking method. The latest version is available at https://www.eireshine.ie/Terms-and-Conditions.html.

5. Reporting & Remedy

If you have concerns about the service provided, please notify ÉireShine within 48 hours of completion by email to info@eireshine.ie. We will arrange a re-clean at no additional charge where appropriate.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a fee. Appointments missed due to inaccessible areas, locked gates, or absence of the client (where required) may be treated as late cancellations.

7. Force Majeure & Weather Conditions

ÉireShine reserves the right to reschedule or cancel service in the event of adverse weather conditions (e.g. heavy rain, high winds, frost, or snow) or unsafe site conditions. We will make all reasonable efforts to inform customers promptly and rearrange service within a suitable timeframe.

8. Site Conditions & Access

The customer is responsible for ensuring safe and adequate access to the property. Slippery paths, aggressive pets, fragile ground surfaces, or other hazards must be disclosed prior to the appointment. If a site is deemed unsafe, ÉireShine reserves the right to refuse or suspend service. No refund will be given in such cases unless agreed otherwise.

9. Heritage & Architecturally Sensitive Properties

ÉireShine is proud to serve homes of architectural significance, including period, heritage-listed, and custom-designed properties. These properties often feature original materials, aged structures, and custom fittings which, while beautiful, may be more susceptible to wear due to natural degradation over time.

Clients acknowledge that original window panes, timber sashes, leaded or stained glass, and historic sealants may contain microfractures, weakened adhesion, or material fatigue not visible to the naked eye. ÉireShine uses a pure water-fed pole system with a soft-bristled brush designed to clean efficiently while minimising pressure on glass surfaces. However, due to the fragile nature of older materials, the cleaning process may, in rare cases, reveal or exacerbate pre-existing issues unrelated to the service performed.

Accordingly, ÉireShine cannot accept liability for any damage arising from latent defects, historical deterioration, or the failure of materials whose structural integrity may already be compromised. It is the responsibility of the property owner to inform ÉireShine of any known areas of concern prior to service. Certain features, including stained glass panels or decorative entrance doors, will be excluded from cleaning unless explicitly discussed and approved in writing.

By confirming a booking, the client agrees to these heritage-specific terms and acknowledges the unique considerations such properties require.

10. Referral Promotion Terms (Facebook)

These terms apply to ÉireShine’s referral promotion run via our Facebook page and website.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Irish courts.
